Welcome to the website of a project run by the Sorbischer Schulverein e. V. (Sorbian School Association), which is the publisher and responsible for the content of this site.
As part of a pilot project, we have created an initial collection of hiking tours with the special feature that they take the needs of schools into account (school-oriented). This is an open project, which means that further hiking suggestions can be added at any time.
The tours lead through the settlement area of the Upper and Lower Sorbs (Wends) in Lusatia. They impart knowledge about Lusatia and the Sorbs (Wends), their history, language and culture.
The hiking suggestions are intended to encourage people to actively experience Lusatia while hiking. The collection is also intended to help and inspire teachers when planning hiking days with pupils.
We encourage anyone who would like to create a new hiking tour for this project to contact us.

The project is funded by the Foundation for the Sorbian People, which receives annual grants from tax revenues based on the budgets approved by the German Bundestag, the Brandenburg State Parliament and the Saxony State Parliament.
